After taking a day to listen over the first episode, (which was a little rough around the edges as most new projects can be), we have decided to make three slight modifications to the game play.
The first modification will be to narrow the scope of each Atrium Category, (Book Learning and Life Learning), to one specific topic each show. S.A.R.A. will now run a randomizing program at the beginning of the show to pick the two narrow field topics, (ex: Science and '80's Television), and contestants will no longer have to answer a qualifying question to choose their atrium.
The biggest is a policy that seems to work very well in a sport called baseball, (but might need a little modification in the California Corrections System), called 3 strikes. Starting with the next game, (airing LIVE on May 6th @ 9pm in the east and 6pm in the west), We will have a 3 strike system with regards to a mine hit. No longer will players be immediately eliminated, (That's right Cleotis. Call back.)
The first mine hit, (an incorrect answer on a mine), will result in sending the contestant back to the top of the contestant's chosen atrium to start all over.
The second mine hit will result in the contestant being thrown back into the atrium they did not choose to begin their quest anew, (They're starting over on the other side.) The contestant will have to answer a minimum of two questions in that category before getting back to, what we like to call, your comfort zone category.
The third mine hit will finally put an end to the contestant's suffering. (That's only in the game.)
Finally, the "Final Challenge" will be referred to as "Final Field". (Pretty Cool, huh? We thought so, but we're big old nerds.)
Check back later for this week's prizes.
